Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 5/13/26
By using Quick Digitals services, you agree to the Terms and Conditions below. Please read them carefully before dropping off, shipping, sending, or submitting any order.
For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “you” and “customer” refer to the person, group, company, organization, representative, or other party who drops off, ships, sends, brings, requests, pays for, or authorizes an order.
“Order” refers to any tapes, DVDs, CDs, audio cassettes, photo slides, digital media, storage devices, files, documents, packaging, or other materials submitted to Quick Digitals for digitizing, transfer, repair, conversion, scanning, copying, storage, cloud delivery, or any related service.
“Quick Digitals,” “Quick VHS to DVD,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Quick Digitals, Quick VHS to DVD, and our owners, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, and service providers.
By using our service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy, which is available in the footer of this website.
1. Agreement to Terms
By dropping off, shipping, sending, bringing, paying for, or submitting an order to Quick Digitals, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, do not use our services.
2. Customer Responsibility for Submitted Materials
You are responsible for the condition, content, ownership, legality, and accuracy of all materials submitted to us.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit the materials for digitizing, transfer, repair, copying, scanning, storage, or related services.
By submitting materials to Quick Digitals, you represent that you own the materials or have permission from the owner to have them transferred, digitized, copied, repaired, scanned, or otherwise processed.
3. Customer-Supplied Copyrighted or Protected Material
Some tapes, discs, slides, photos, audio recordings, videos, or other materials may contain copyrighted, licensed, protected, commercial, broadcast, studio, school, sports, business, or third-party content.
By submitting an order, you confirm that you have the legal right, permission, license, ownership, or authorization needed for us to perform the requested service.
Quick Digitals is not responsible for determining copyright ownership, licensing rights, broadcast rights, music rights, performer rights, trademark rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other legal rights connected to customer-submitted materials.
We reserve the right to refuse service for any order if we believe the requested work may violate copyright law, trademark law, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other applicable law or third-party right.
4. Prohibited Content
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, stop, or report an order if the materials appear to contain illegal content, exploitative content, stolen property, unlawful recordings, threats, abuse, harassment, or any content that we believe may violate applicable law or create a safety, legal, or ethical concern.
If necessary, we may report prohibited or illegal content to the proper authorities.
5. Existing Damage, Tape Condition, and Media Deterioration
Quick Digitals is not responsible for damage, deterioration, mold, heat damage, humidity damage, cold storage damage, water damage, broken shells, ripped tape, stretched tape, missing footage, blank tapes, poor recording quality, bad audio, tracking problems, unreadable discs, corrupted files, degraded slides, or any other issue that existed before we received your order.
Old tapes and media can deteriorate over time, even if they appear normal from the outside. Some damage may not be visible until the item is played, opened, inspected, scanned, or transferred.
If an item is damaged, unstable, moldy, broken, blank, unreadable, or unable to be transferred, we may attempt to contact you to discuss possible options. Some materials may not be recoverable.
6. Transfer Quality and Results
We make reasonable efforts to produce the best transfer possible based on the condition of the original material.
However, final transfer quality depends on the quality and condition of the original tape, disc, cassette, slide, file, or media submitted.
Old media may have problems including, but not limited to:
- Poor picture quality
- Weak or missing audio
- Tracking problems
- Jumpy video
- Distorted color
- Static or noise
- Mold
- Tape shedding
- Broken or ripped tape
- Damaged cassette shells
- Heat or humidity damage
- Blank sections
- Missing footage
- Poor original recording quality
- Camera or recording defects
- Playback compatibility issues
Quick Digitals does not guarantee that all submitted materials can be transferred, repaired, restored, improved, or recovered.
7. Multi-Cycle Conversions
When needed and when possible, Quick Digitals may test certain tapes on different playback equipment to find the best available video and audio result before digitizing.
This process is referred to as multi-cycle conversion.
Multi-cycle conversion does not guarantee perfect quality and cannot fix damage that is already present in the original recording or tape. It is an effort to obtain the best practical playback result based on the condition of the original media and available equipment.
When applicable, multi-cycle conversion is included at no additional charge unless otherwise stated.
8. Tape Splicing and Repair
Some broken or ripped tapes may be repairable enough to transfer. Tape splicing may allow a damaged tape to play long enough to digitize the content.
Tape splicing is not a full restoration and does not make the tape new. The damaged section may still have glitches, missing footage, or playback issues.
Tape splicing is currently $15 per tape, in addition to the normal transfer price. For example, if a video tape requires splicing and transfer, the cost is generally $15 for splicing plus $20 for digitizing, for a total of $35 for that tape.
VHS and VHS-C tapes are generally easier to splice. Other formats, including Hi8, Digital8, 8mm, MiniDV, Betamax, and audio cassettes, may be more difficult or may not be repairable depending on the damage and condition.
Quick Digitals does not guarantee that any broken, ripped, tangled, damaged, moldy, or unstable tape can be repaired or transferred.
9. Pricing and Payment
Current pricing is listed on our website or provided directly to the customer.
Unless otherwise stated, standard video tape transfer pricing is $20 per tape. Other services, such as CD/DVD conversion, photo slide scanning, tape splicing, special handling, additional copies, storage devices, shipping, or other work may have separate pricing.
Payment is due when requested by Quick Digitals. We reserve the right to hold completed orders, files, original materials, USB drives, DVDs, discs, downloads, or other deliverables until payment is received in full.
Prices are subject to change, but price changes will not affect an order already accepted unless additional services are requested or required.
10. Turnaround Time
Turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless we specifically agree in writing.
Turnaround time may vary depending on order size, tape condition, equipment availability, repair needs, customer response time, workload, holidays, shipping delays, technical problems, or other circumstances.
Orders with damaged tapes, moldy tapes, ripped tapes, large quantities, special requests, or unusual formats may take longer.
11. Customer Communication
We may contact you by phone, text message, email, voicemail, written message, or other communication method using the information you provide.
You are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information.
If you do not respond to our contact attempts, your order may be delayed, placed on hold, subject to storage fees, or eventually considered abandoned as described below.
12. Completed Orders, Pickup, Shipping, and Customer Response
Once your order is completed, we will attempt to notify you using the contact information you provided.
The pickup/storage period begins when we first attempt to notify you that your order is complete, whether or not we successfully reach you.
It is your responsibility to respond, arrange pickup, make payment, provide shipping instructions, or take any other action needed to complete the order.
13. Storage Fees
Completed orders not picked up, paid for, shipped, or otherwise resolved within 30 days after our first completion notice may be subject to storage fees.
Storage fees may be charged at a rate of $20 per day after the first 30 days, unless other arrangements are made with us in writing.
If you need more time to pick up your order, contact us before the 30-day period ends.
Storage fees are intended to cover the cost and burden of storing completed orders, original materials, files, devices, packaging, and related items.
14. Abandoned Orders
Orders not picked up, paid for, shipped, or otherwise resolved within 60 days after our first completion notice may be considered abandoned.
Before considering an order abandoned, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the contact information you provided.
Reasonable attempts may include phone calls, text messages, emails, voicemails, or other available methods.
If an order is considered abandoned, Quick Digitals may dispose of, delete, recycle, destroy, donate, or otherwise remove the original materials, files, discs, USB drives, packaging, and other order-related items at our discretion.
Quick Digitals is not responsible for any materials, files, tapes, DVDs, CDs, discs, slides, USB drives, packaging, or other items left unclaimed after the abandonment period.
If applicable law requires a different notice period, process, or handling method, we reserve the right to follow applicable law instead of the timeframe stated here.
15. Digital File Retention
Digital files may be made available through USB drive, cloud download, DVD, or another delivery method depending on the order and service selected.
Cloud downloads and online file access are temporary unless otherwise stated.
We may delete digital files from our systems, cloud accounts, storage devices, or backup locations after the order is completed, delivered, downloaded, picked up, or after a reasonable period of time.
Quick Digitals is not responsible for storing your files permanently.
You are responsible for downloading, saving, backing up, and protecting your digital files after delivery.
16. Customer Backup Responsibility
Once digital files are delivered, it is your responsibility to make backup copies.
We recommend saving your files in more than one place, such as a computer, external hard drive, USB drive, or cloud storage account.
Quick Digitals is not responsible for lost files after they have been delivered, downloaded, picked up, or otherwise made available to you.
17. Shipping and Mail-In Orders
Customers who ship materials to Quick Digitals are responsible for properly packing and shipping their order.
We are not responsible for loss, theft, delay, misdelivery, damage, heat exposure, water damage, crushing, or other problems caused by shipping carriers, delivery services, packaging, weather, or mail handling before the order reaches us or after it leaves us.
Customers are responsible for using a shipping method with tracking and, if desired, insurance.
Return shipping may require payment before the order is shipped back.
18. Local Drop-Off Orders
For local drop-off orders, customers are responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly packed, labeled, and submitted.
We may provide instructions for drop-off, pickup, payment, and order handling. Customers are responsible for following those instructions.
19. Refunds and Cancellations
Because digitizing, transfer, repair, and scanning services involve custom work performed on customer-submitted materials, refunds are not guaranteed once work has started.
If you cancel an order before work begins, we may cancel the order without charge, except for any costs already incurred.
If work has already started, partial or full payment may still be required depending on the work completed, materials used, repair attempts, transfer attempts, shipping, storage, or other costs incurred.
If a tape or media item is blank, damaged, unreadable, or unable to be transferred, charges may still apply for inspection, handling, repair attempts, transfer attempts, or time spent.
20. No Guarantee of Improvement
Quick Digitals provides digitizing, transfer, repair, and related services. We do not guarantee that old, damaged, poor-quality, moldy, unstable, or degraded media will be improved.
In some cases, the digital version may show the same defects that exist in the original recording or media.
We may attempt to obtain the best practical result, but we cannot create quality that was not present in the original recording or recover content that is physically missing, erased, blank, damaged, or unrecoverable.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Quick Digitals is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, emotional, sentimental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of memories, loss of sentimental value, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of use.
If Quick Digitals is found responsible for any damage, loss, or issue related to an order, our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service related to the item at issue.
Because customer-submitted materials may be old, fragile, damaged, moldy, deteriorated, or one-of-a-kind, customers submit materials at their own risk.
22. Force Majeure
Quick Digitals is not responsible for delays, failure to perform, loss, or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include fire, flood, earthquake, power outage, internet outage, equipment failure, theft, vandalism, natural disaster, weather, shipping carrier delay, illness, emergency, government action, labor issue, or other events beyond our control.
23. Third-Party Names, Logos, and Trademarks
Our website may display or reference third-party company names, brand names, logos, trademarks, service marks, or organization names, including examples of companies or organizations for which we have performed work, or as part of customer education, informational content, screenshots, reviews, or portfolio-style references.

We may update, change, remove, or correct website content, prices, services, images, blog posts, policies, terms, or descriptions at any time.
We try to keep information accurate, but we do not guarantee that all website content is complete, current, or free of errors.
25. Reviews, Testimonials, and Examples
Customer reviews, testimonials, ratings, photos, examples, or descriptions on our website may reflect individual experiences and may not represent every customer’s result.
Transfer quality and service results depend on the condition of the original materials and the services requested.
26. Refusal of Service
Quick Digitals reserves the right to refuse service, stop work, cancel an order, limit communication, or require written communication if a customer engages in harassment, threats, abusive behavior, spam, fraud, illegal activity, unreasonable demands, or unprofessional conduct.
If necessary, inappropriate conduct may be reported to the proper authorities.
27. Changes to These Terms
Quick Digitals may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The version posted on our website at the time of service will generally apply to the order, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
